Sell Gold Coins in Tyler
Gold trades on a global market that moves through the day, so the honest answer to what a coin is worth starts with the price on the screen at the moment you are standing there. We work from that number, not from a rate we posted last week.
Modern bullion is arithmetic. Older American gold is not, because condition and date can carry a coin well past the metal in it. Both get checked here.

How the number gets built
Every coin starts with its actual gold content, priced against the live spot market at the hour you are here. A one-ounce Eagle holds a full ounce of gold. A $20 Saint carries just under a full ounce. That difference matters and gets counted correctly rather than rounded.
Then the coin gets read. Pre-1933 American gold usually trades above melt because collectors want it, and how far above depends on the year, the mint, and how well it survived. A common date in worn shape sits close to metal. A scarce mintage that stayed sharp can run several times that.
You get a written figure broken out by piece or by group, so you can see which coins are being paid on gold alone and which are being paid for something more. Take it with you and think it over if you want to.

FAQ
Sell Gold Coins in Tyler: common questions
What do you pay for a one-ounce gold coin?
It tracks the live gold market that day plus a premium that varies by coin. Eagles, Buffalos, Krugerrands and Maple Leafs all trade a little differently. Call 903-200-8805 and we will read you the current figure.
Is my old U.S. gold coin worth more than its gold?
Usually yes. Pre-1933 American gold carries a collector premium over melt, and better dates and cleaner coins carry considerably more. Bring it in and each coin gets valued individually.
Do you buy gold coins that are bent or were in jewelry?
We do. A damaged or previously mounted coin loses its collector premium but keeps every bit of its gold, and it is bought on that content.
How fast is payment?
The same visit. Cash for ordinary amounts, wire or check for larger ones, sorted before you leave.
