Sell an Estate or Inherited Coin Collection in Tyler

Inheriting coins usually means inheriting a question nobody in the family can answer, often during a month when there are already too many questions.

We take it as it comes: albums, coffee cans, safe deposit boxes, a lifetime of accumulation in no order at all.

Collections and estates we handle

  • Complete collections built over decades
  • Albums, folders, and partially filled date sets
  • Safe deposit box contents
  • Mixed accumulations of coins, currency, jewelry, and bullion
  • Estate and probate liquidations, working with the executor
  • Dealer inventory and closing shops
  • Collections where nobody knows what is in them yet

How a collection gets worked through

First it gets cataloged. Everything is separated into groups: bullion by metal, common circulated silver by weight, and collector coins one at a time. Nothing gets tipped onto a scale as one lot, because that is exactly how the good pieces disappear.

Then it gets priced by group with the individually valuable coins broken out on their own lines, so the offer reads as an explanation instead of a single number. You can see what the bulk silver contributed and what the four coins that mattered contributed.

For a large estate, or when moving it safely is a problem, a buyer can come to you anywhere in the Tyler area and East Texas. Executors are welcome to bring anyone they want along, and a written itemized offer is standard whether you sell that day or not.

FAQ

Sell an Estate or Inherited Coin Collection in Tyler: common questions

I inherited coins and know nothing about them. Where do I start?

Right here, with no preparation at all. Bring it as you found it. Everything gets cataloged and explained and you leave with a written itemized figure whether or not you sell.

Will you come to the house?

For substantial collections, yes, throughout Tyler, Smith County, and the surrounding East Texas counties. Call 903-200-8805 to arrange it.

Can I sell part of a collection?

Yes. Plenty of people sell the bullion and keep the coins with sentimental value, or the reverse. The offer is itemized so you can choose piece by piece.

Do you work with executors and attorneys?

Regularly. Written appraisals for probate and estate purposes are available, and we can coordinate with an attorney or executor on timing and documentation.
